Young Maria Antonia — A Lifelike Reimagining
Young Maria Antonia — A Lifelike Reimagining
This work reimagines the girlhood of Maria Antonia, later known as Marie Antoinette, and brings her childhood portrait into lifelike form.
The inspiration comes from the original painting by Swiss artist Jean-Étienne Liotard (1702–1789), who portrayed her as an Austrian archduchess in her early years. The portrait is housed today in Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna.
In my reinterpretation, I sought to capture not only her innocence and delicate grace but also the quiet dignity that foreshadows the queen she would one day become.
It is both an homage to Liotard’s artistry and an attempt to bridge history and the present, allowing us to encounter the young girl behind the legend.
This poster has a partly glossy, partly matte finish and it'll add a touch of sophistication to any room.
